[PRESS RELEASE] – CORNING, N.Y., May 15, 2025 – Union Chill Cannabis Co. announced that its much-anticipated dispensary in Corning, N.Y., is opening at 10 a.m. May 16 at 34 West Pulteney Street.
Union Chill comes to the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions as one of the largest and most accessible cannabis dispensaries in New York. Located in the building that previously was home to the Corning Leader newspaper, Union Chill is easily accessible for both local customers and tourists. Hornell native Josh Canfield will oversee the dispensary, which is the company’s second location. Its other facility is in Lambertville, N.J.
“Our Corning location provides a great opportunity to reach both residents and tourists traveling to the Finger Lakes,” said Canfield, the managing partner and CEO of Union Chill Cannabis N.Y. “In our store, we have something for everyone, and our hope is that each customer that comes through our doors leaves feeling satisfied with their experience. The community here is tight-knit and has welcomed us with open arms—we’re grateful to be here and are excited to share our expertise in the cannabis space.”
As an established retailer of adult-use cannabis, Union Chill is committed to providing customers with a unique and tailored experience. Its Corning dispensary features personal consultation areas where customers can meet one-on-one with Union Chill’s trained cannabis experts to discuss which products best fit their needs and goals.
With more than 14,000 square feet, featuring both event and retail space, along with a parking lot on-site, the dispensary will provide a seamless experience for customers. Union Chill intends to use its event space for industry leaders to host educational events and discussions.
“Since we opened our first location in 2023, we’ve made it our mission to connect with our customers and industry leaders on a personal level, and we’re excited to bring that same experience to Corning,” Union Chill Cannabis Co. Chief Operating Officer Matt Fisher said. “Education is key to understanding how to best use cannabis. Each person is looking for something different, from wellness to recreation and everything in between. Our goal is to help our customers find what works best for their needs and lifestyles and offer best-in-class products.”
Union Chill’s hand-selected craft cannabis products include flower, pre-rolls, edibles, beverages, vapes and more. The company is also set to begin offering delivery services in the near future. For additional information, visit unionchillny.com.
